I used Trader Joe's Rolled Oats which in my opinion was too thick--you can see the pieces of oatmeal but the taste was fine. Oatmeal is an interesting and more nutritious binder for meatloaf, replacing the breadcrumbs or crackers you're probably used to. It's just as delicious and easy and this recipe is a slightly modernized version of an old one found on the container of Quaker Oats.
